These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of TradesPing, a job-reminder and client-communication platform for tradespeople in South Africa, operated by TradesPing ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using TradesPing, you agree to these Terms.

1. The service

TradesPing helps trades businesses manage client bookings and send automated WhatsApp reminders, quote follow-ups, and payment nudges. Some features depend on third-party platforms — primarily the WhatsApp Business API operated by Meta — and their availability, reliability, and policies.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when signing up and keep your login credentials secure
You're responsible for all activity that happens under your account
You must be authorised to act on behalf of the business you're registering

3. Subscription and billing

TradesPing offers a free trial period, after which continued use requires a paid subscription plan
Subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis via our payment processor, Paystack
You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and no partial refunds are given for the remainder of a billing cycle

We may change pricing with reasonable advance notice; continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance

4. Your responsibility for client data

When you add client names, phone numbers, or job details to TradesPing, you are the data controller for that information under South African law — you are responsible for having a lawful basis to hold and message those contacts. TradesPing acts as a processor, storing and sending that data on your behalf and in accordance with your instructions. You agree to:

Only add clients you have a legitimate business relationship with
Honour opt-out requests from your clients promptly
Not use TradesPing to send unsolicited marketing or spam

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use TradesPing to:

Send messages that violate WhatsApp's Business Messaging Policy or Meta's platform terms
Send harassing, deceptive, or unlawful content to any recipient
Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the platform
Resell or white-label the service without our written agreement

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, including where violations put our WhatsApp Business API access at risk for other users.

6. Message delivery

Message delivery depends on Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform, mobile networks, and your clients' own WhatsApp settings. While we work to deliver reminders reliably, we cannot guarantee delivery, read receipts, or that a message will prevent a missed appointment — TradesPing is a tool to reduce no-shows, not a guarantee against them.

7. Availability

We aim to keep TradesPing available and reliable, but the service is provided "as is" without guarantee of uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, and occasionally experience downtime, without liability for resulting loss.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, TradesPing is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service, including lost revenue from missed appointments, undelivered messages, or third-party platform outages (including WhatsApp/Meta). Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

You may stop using TradesPing and cancel your subscription at any time via your account settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, misuse the platform, or put our ability to serve other customers at risk.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date at the top of this page, and where appropriate, communicated directly to account holders.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
